The  construction of  the Coimbatore-Trichy Highway near the Air Force Station, Sulur was started in March 2008 and is still under progress.  The total length of the said road  in the area is only 2 Kms. However it has not yet been completed .  The construction work is going on in such a way that it would take a few more months to get the work completed by the authorities concerned.  No one knows if the authorities have understood the various problems the public in general and  the residents of the Air Port station area in particular face with the delayed work. This has greatly affected the telephone network and the ever interupted power supply lines. This has also caused much inconvenience to the children studying in the Kendrya Vidyalaya nearby on the highway. Every one will appreciate if the authorities would take immediate action and see the laying of the road is completed at the earliest and help the public heave a sigh of relief.
